Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain is the only one planned for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domains remained working.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no particular requirements on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
